Slow Munitions [EPK]
are a psychedelic rock band based in Kent, formed in 2022.

The band name comes from 100 years of the magic-bullet theory, and their first EP Centennial was recorded at The Albion Rooms in Margate, where they also débuted live. Their original lineup featured Ben Chang on drums, Matt Jury (House of Love) on bass, and Matthew Jure on guitar and vocals.
The current lineup is: Ollie Bonugli on drums; John Forrester on bass and backing vocals; and Matthew Jure on guitar and vocals.
Ollie started out in Ramsgate punk band Few Thoughts; John toured with, among others, members of New Model Army; and Matthew first played with Bournemouth grunge band Ventral (ventral.co.uk).

With the new lineup, the band have now recorded a second EP Double Elevation in collaboration with Spiritualized and My Bloody Valentine producer Darren Allison, who came onboard after hearing the band and describing their sound as 'shimmering, dangerous rock'n'roll'.

Double Elevation comes out on 6/3/26, the eve before the band's show with London psych-rockers The Confederate Dead at Ramsgate Music Hall on 7/3/26.

Slow Munitions' début album Polychrome Spectre is in pre-production, again with Darren Allison, and is scheduled for release in summer 2026.
